97. three dollars

Will compressing my photos affect the quality of my pictures? It seems like it does, but I’m not so sure. The pictures I post up here look a little unclear :( and + it takes up so much space if I keep them at the original size and my laptop is pretty much.. out of space already.

Or am I just being paranoid? -_-

(edit)
Look at these stats:

At the end of 2007, there were 2.5 million children living with HIV around the world.
420,000 children became newly infected with HIV at the end of 2007.
Of the 2.1 million people who died of AIDS in that same year, more than one in seven was children.

Every hour, about 40 children are dying as a result of AIDS
.
Everyday, nearly 6,800 people are infected with HIV…
And almost HALF of them are under the age of 25.

96. and the things we’ll miss

February 23, 2008 at 1:07 pm (Uncategorized)

I just got back from Jackelyn’s house a while ago with Caesar. It was really nice, hanging out with them, experimenting recipes together (haha more like cooking maggi mee and migoreng), and just getting to know each other more. It’s a comforting feeling - getting to know people eventhough you see them so often. When they’re unguarded, chillaxed and at ease, it’s so wonderful. People.
I went out with Jocelyn and Carrie on Thursday afternoon. Joss just left for Brisbane on Friday and I couldn’t see her off. Talking about the old times back in Form 4 and 5 was really funny. I love the power of memory! It’s just so brilliant.

no shizzzzzzzzle

I’m hungry. It looks great here but it doesn’t taste that fantastic.

WHAT IS THIS?!? HAHA

WILLY WONKA!

Oh, also there was Yvonne’s recital on Wednesday :)Oh dear, what’s up with his eyes?

Tomorrow’s is AFC’s 6th Anniversary :) funfunfun, I think I’m going to have to sleep a little earlier tonight. I’m going to see some people I haven’t seen in a long while. I just know it. We had a long practice last night and a ’sort of’ practice this morning (PAOFACE! read: Yvonne and Derek) so I’m quite tired. I haven’t gotten enough sleep for days already. And really, to top it all off…

  • 6 Statistics exercises
  • 2 Accounting exercises
  • 1 English essay and summary
  • Name tags for orientation on Monday and Tuesday
  • Law/theory test on TUESDAY :O
  • Buy school shoes

But still, life has been alright :) It’s always refreshing to talk to certain people that really give you a new way to look at life. Even though many of my friends who I have known for years have left already and there are more to leave this year, there are always new people to meet, and some of them are those you don’t want to lose.

Have an awesome week ahead to everyone! Have a great time at school or whatever you’re doing :)

I miss classical piano and I’m glad to be finally going back!

95. three little monkeys

February 18, 2008 at 11:22 am (Uncategorized)

The weekend is already over and it’s too soooooooon. I haven’t been taking that many pictures which I regret doing so, and I have so much homework.. about a month to go before the 2 weeks (or is it 10 days) break in March! I know school just started like in January but I always look forward to the public holidays, breaks :P though I must say, school has been okay (oh how brilliant I rhymedddd). In a nutshell, it’s hectic as always.. some things just don’t change.

Thanks again Rach for the CD all the way from Sydney!! :D Love love x

I’ve been using this camera for over a month and all I’ve taken are macro shots -_- terrible.

Most of the pictures I have of my grandmother(popo) are of her sleeping..

A picture of a picture of my family and I at my cousin’s wedding last year. I really like it ;D

Fireworks!! One of my favorite things about Chinese New Year.

Vuina and I at Excapade (where’s Matt?) after I came back from Miri

a new addition to the zoo?

My pictures are always the ones doing the talking for me.
Is this good or bad? :O
P/S: I suck at sakikong!

94. speedoflight

February 4, 2008 at 9:52 am (Uncategorized)

Can the year pass by any quicker? It’s already February and lots of things have been happening.. It’s great, but at the same time, I’m learning what it means to prioritize (for real

!). It hasn’t been easy juggling things and trying to squeeze time for everything that is needed, and I still a lot of improvement to do. I’m beginning to understand how important certain things are, the simpler things in life. Rest assured though, what I’m doing in school now is not easy! I’m actually having a pretty hard time and it’s difficult to get things altogether sometimes. There are countless times where things just fall apart. But as a great man has once (and many, many times it rings in my head) said, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail“!Heading for Miri tomorrow morning, with an aching body after going to the gym and exercising after a month of not exercising

- hurrrrah! I’ll be missing 2 to 3 days of school. Oh dear.. I have tests the whole of next week. My Math and Accounting textbooks would have to come with me to usher in the Chinese New Year. I can’t wait to see the fireworks, being with my family and as well as to visit my friends when I come back to Brunei. Bring on the ANG PAUUUU!

And the tension is building and rising but.. Romans 8:28!

Happy belated birthday to my smelly and (let me emphasize) OLD brother who’s halfway over the hill :) Oh how I await the day you are kicked out of MY room (hey seriously, what guy at 25 has pink and purple walls with stuffed toys everywhere?) and the keys to the car are tossed into my hands :D of course I’m kidding. I will miss you very much you smelly cow, no matter how many times I have told you how much I hate it when you grit you teeth in your sleep. I love you and you’d better NOT replace me while I’m there because I am the ultimate lame one (after you, of course).

Love,
your annoying sister x
(P/S - Happy advanced Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone! Have a wonderful time with your families and God bless all you crazy monkeys with abundance in life, health, love and wealth :))

Hey Tracie, my shirt actually doesn’t mean our surname (haha! wouldn’t it be cool though?) but it stands for new generation. I reckon we should get our surnames printed out on these ‘I Heart’ shirts one day. Ng is such a fab surname even though I have met like, 15247134 people who can’t pronounce it properly :P take care girl!
