Bwueh!

G’day all :) I had a ‘wonderful’ day, with three empty blocks doing nothing but just taking up space and time. How awesome.. not. I don’t really like all these classes where no lessons are going on (except for the really boiiiing boring ones that make me fall asleep) or when the teachers are always absent. Well maybe the teachers have better excuses than some of my friends, who escape after their morning exams even when they have normal lessons after that, or just not come to school at all because they’re lazy :P I made it a point to come to school everyday since.., because it’s responsibility. There is this one teacher always came to class and sometimes she would sound so awful ’cause of a flu or be really moody but she would still come and teach anyway because it’s her responsibility. I used to feel lazy and just not go to school but that’s really stupid. Miss Jenie would always talk about how she would love to see a full class during Accounting.. I remember her expression when she talked about that! (it looked a bit disappointed) If I were in her shoes, I would love to see a full class too. You know, that your students would love to go for class whether they felt like it or not. Because you know, missing out lessons isn’t cool either. Especially when you have to do double amount of homework and even worse when new sub-topics are being taught :S
I’m taking Statistics next year for Maths. Unlike many schools, I just found out, we’re allowed to choose between Stats/Mechanics. So instead of Paper3 (I THINK) we’ll be taking Paper7 which is Further Statistics… or something like that. It really confused the heck out of us and some other students from other schools, ’cause it’s really unheard of. Mr Dalman said that most students (all?) take Statistics in MS. So whoever didn’t do very well for Paper6 in the end of year exam, it’s compulsory for them to take Mechanics. Some of the students are already prepared to repeat one whole year because they didn’t do well enough for their Pure paper, and they really want a good enough grade ’cause they’re taking like Physics or something like that.. okay enough. We’re doing a new topic tomorrow, logarithms or something like that.. like that.. like that.

I’m excited for Acts this week! I don’t know why. NewGen at school has been great, had another ’session’ again today. Haha sounds like some psychiatric thing but no it’s not.. I guess when people start opening up their hearts you just can’t deny but know God is moving and working. It’s really true when people say, you can tell a person so much about any kind of truth, but what makes it more real is that they experience it for themselves and have that revelation about it.

Anyways Simpsons is on so I’m gonna go watch and do HOMEWORK! I hope I get to go on the school trip tomorrow to the Doulos book fair thingamajig; our tutor group so rejekted :(

Sigh.

October 30, 2007 at 10:18 am (Uncategorized)

I can’t post any pictures today, so a wordy post will just have to do. I just had my English exam earlier today and gosh, I just don’t know how to feel about it.. It’s my paper one exam so it’s the commentary, where I have to answer two questions; each question has 2 sub-questions so all in all there are 4 to answer in 2 hours. I just concentrated a lot on the language skills like metaphors, onomatopoeias (which were to be found nowhere! Well, to me, at least. I just spotted a few similes and examples of alliteration; I guess I’ll use it in Paper2), etc. and well, the way I answered the paper just felt really djghxdfhyg. I approached the paper and answered it chronologically most of the time but time was really what I lacked today, and probably preparation. I wanted to only take the paper in November but after leaving the exam hall the only thing I had on my mind was that I still have 2 more chances next year. Which I’m not very sure is good/bad.

Yay I can post pictures now :D

I know the picture is very blur, but I sakai okay, first time DIY!

“We’d like to ask you a few questions” HAHAHA astronomers.

“Hyaaa! I am armed and dangerous, my grandfather Jet Li!”
I dunno what the woman would be thinking man. Haha these were just some of the things I drew in English class today, because the teacher wasn’t in -_- how ironic right? On the day of the exam.

Oh how I love black marker pens :) Obviously I didn’t draw ALL of them, most of them were copied from the New Yorker which is a really interesting business magazine and there are many copies available in my classroom. Hence most of the drawings are of businessmen. Gasp! Plagiarism! :O

Such resemblance……….. HAHAHA NAH YOUR PICTURE! :D

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Too much sugar

October 27, 2007 at 9:25 am (Uncategorized)

I just wanted to post a picture before I start typing, and I remember drawing this a few months ago. Haha it looks kinda retarded and disproportioned; fat and stubby. Well today has been dubbed Teachers’ Day by the Bruneian government, though there’s no big celebration, besides the fact that we students get a day off :D It’s going to be replaced, though, with school on the first of December, which I find particularly weird.
Drama King

2 kids from the Muzikarten class a few months ago.
They oddly remind me of Batman and Robin! :P

Ninja by night.

I just wanted to post pictures :P

when the weather is fine;

October 23, 2007 at 9:33 am (Uncategorized)

Besides the very festive Hari Raya and the fact that school has just started over the last weekend, it’s been a pretty busy time and I couldn’t update here as much as I wanted to.. also because I haven’t been bringing my camera around enough so there weren’t any pictures. Anyway, the Queen of the House just celebrated her grand birthday on Saturday and little did she know, there would be plenty of surprises in store for her. She was so surprised, she couldn’t eat when the first few dishes came because she was still in shock. I won’t go into much details and will just post these pics. :D
Ma would really kill me if she knew this picture existed. heehee.. But look at the size of this pizza man! It’s a “jumbo” and I can’t believe we actually finished it. Insane!
Mum & all the ladies who surprised her during lunch =)
(still - look at that pizza!)

A very very very filling lunch which was enjoyyyyyyed thoroughly.

Her cake given by her mahjong kaki!

Her reaction when she realized that the cake had a royal flush on it. haha!

Oh yes! It’s chocolate too!

My very beautiful mum (I’m being both honest and biased :P) and the flowers her friends surprised her with, together with the cake which tastes like you’re eating a chocolate bar.. haha! Because it’s really sweet and very very rich. Thanks anyway, Alex! It was a very good one and there’s still so much leftover at my place.

My sister :P

I can’t wait for Freshwinds :D I can’t wait to go to Singapore again. I miss the food there and the huuuuge number of people everywhere (being in a place where there’s a lot of people is always nice) and the shopping… *drools* and I want to get some speakers for my laptop, headsets for my iPod and take everything that’s unnecessary out from my room and redo everything again because it now looks like a pigsty for fifty smelly farm animals. Thank you and goodbye.

I remember

October 11, 2007 at 12:07 pm (Uncategorized)

- “Times when we are faithless, He is always faithful.”

I was watching this video this morning after I woke up and went online, and right now too I’m listening to it with my earphones. I remember a few years ago, during the time where I really fell in love with God, was listening to the songs by City Harvest. Hillsong played a huge part in my life too, but I think CHC’s songs were even more impacting, maybe because it’s from Singapore haha~ biased much. (I love love love Singapore, if you didn’t know) and maybe their the reason why I love it even more. Listening to this song just reminded me about “that first time” encountering with God; I remember the song Refuge was a song we used to sing so many times over. MANY! Songs like Come Holy Spirit and etc too. Their songs always touch me somehow, and you’ll always see them appearing on MSN nicks etc. Haha :P

“I sing a love song to You Lord, every day, every night, tell of Your goodness and mercy…”

On a totally different note, for the past two days, I’ve been going crazy at home -_- there’s no Astro and the China satellite (which I never touch) isn’t working either and I haven’t gone out to do anything, so I have officially finished watching the first hole season of Ugly Betty, the first two episodes and epi9-11 of Heroes, two seasons of Family Guy and a few episodes of The OC’s season four. Okay that’s not crazy -that’s an understatement- I’m going NUTS! Fine, I’ll admit to it. (even my mom demands us to buy more dvds now even though she never watches them, but after a few minutes of it playing, she falls asleep on the couch HAHA!)

I haven’t even been going online much ’cause my brother’s always using the laptop. Thank thank goodness I went to buy my mum’s birthday present and I had math tuition so at least, I got out of the house for a few hours. My maid’s in my room now watching Balls of Fury ’cause the player outside won’t play the DVD. Scratch that: my mom just came home so she’s gone out to prepare her dinner. :P

I was listening to Corrinne May’s Safe in A Crazy World which i have gotten hooked on to recently. I really really like her music and voice. She’s my #2 next to Brooke Fraser; I know they are both different artistes but anyway, I was reading Psalms 4 the other day and in verse8, it reads “for You alone, oh Lord, make me dwell in safety” and i was just laughing to myself.. mwahaha! I thought it was pretty funny and quirky. It reminded me of my friends who have all already left for pursuing their studies overseas, the ones closest to me, but He has never left. Hmm and that’s pretty awesome.

I’m making carbonara tomorrow! It’s my first time.. So I’m a little edgy. I’m going for music lessons (after postponing in like 3 times), go buy the ingredients, and then go home and cook the pasta and yada yada. If I have time to take pictures, then maybe I’ll blog about it. My brother has cooked it before so now he’s teaching me ;D It’s good stuff, I tell you! Food, glorious food!

And with that, I bid ye farewell. =)

Thank goodness tomorrow’s a Friday. I can’t wait for December to come!
