Here comes the bride!

September 29, 2007 at 5:15 pm (Uncategorized)

I just got home a few hours ago witnessing my cousin’s wedding. It’s been over 10 years since the last family wedding, so most of us were quite excited. The last time the family had gotten together was a few years ago during my late great-grandfather’s 100th birthday. It was held at the pool side at Rizqun and I’ve never seen it before; it looked really nice.

Small wedding but a really nice reception. It was bebebebebeautiful outside with such a nice weather! Perfect for a wedding. This is when they were walked down the aisle and exchanging vows and rings.

My family and I don’t have the habitual phototaking sessions when we’re out so these are very rare and well, have to be treasured :P most photos taken aren’t the best because it’s just a normal digicam, nothing special! Okay maybe because I saw so many cool looking cameras and my mom said something very tempting just now.. *ignores* okay continue scrolling.

Flower girl and both bridesmaids.

tea ceremony with popo

HeiHei - my little cousin from Hong Kong and the flower girl!

My brother has been back for almost a year after being gone for so long and this is the first picture I’ve taken with him.

xiao gu gu, little cousins from Hong Kong, papa, popo, and da gu gu.

There are more pictures but I have to get up early tomorrow, it’s already past midnight and I’ll post the rest on Facebook or something :) try and take a guess where my now cousin-in-law proposed to his wife!

And… begin!

September 18, 2007 at 2:43 pm (Uncategorized)

Oh gosh man, I have *somany* of these stuffed toys.. This doesn’t even include the little keychains and the small little things. I used to like them like a lot, but now they are just wastes of space :P Okay some of them I still like heh heh.
Well, hello to this purple space! School just started on Monday, and we get to go home at 12 everyday now, I love it :) but the canteen is closed which was horrible for us “orang cinas” on the first day. I got my papers back, I am very satisfied with all but one paper. I won’t digress about that right now..

On a brighter and sunnier side, I went to Tasek Lama with Yvonne and Angel today! It was exercise time, baby! We went into the jungle halfway only though then spent about 10 minutes eating and orange (haha Gel wah!) and contemplating which route we should take.. while meeting some people we knew on the way. I had a bad sore throat (which I still have now) so I didn’t talk much during the walk and just had my Fisherman’s Friend Apple and Cinnamon flavored. It was my first time trying it -because they didn’t have mandarin and ginger- and it was loooovely :) We went to the tamu after that also, to get some drinks, and Aunty Needa (von’s mum) sent us home.. well me and Angel to my home actually. We were so smelly and played with fireworks for a while, which took us about 10 minutes to start off -_-

I guess that’s all, I’m just filling this space up. I keep thinking about going overseas man! Now, I’m quite excited about it. I just checked out some unis but got to finish this A Level course next year, first.

I love these pajamas. Can you see what cartoon character it is? I must find more of these PJs!

I’ll miss!

September 15, 2007 at 5:08 am (Uncategorized)

G’day mateys! Oh it’s a ccccccold day today on an early Saturday morning -alright maybe not that early anymore considering that it’s half past twelve- but anyway! I had a great day yesterday. I got to see Baby Zephyr! You know it was really funny, his mom Ling was in this room taking care of him and all of the other girls were just oohing and aahing at the little baby with all his little moves and little every action he made. Maybe it’s a girl thing, I don’t know, but all of us were just in silence, it was kinda funny. Just watching the baby as he squirmed, drank milk and we even wondered what do babies dream about, etc. About having more milk, maybe :P

Well yesterday we had an outing with our cellgroup, Angeline is leaving soon but we have no idea when. I think she’ll only be told today perhaps. Off to Excapade (again - I think we need to find a new place!) and we got her this radio alarm clock thing. You know, so she’ll always be on time when she’s all the way in the UK. I hope I get to see her off, school starts next week already. It’s really soon! And out comes the exam results, since we had ours a lot earlier. Plus, preparation for the November AS exams are going to start too.

These little babies here folks, are one of the first few sushi dishes that I started out with when I began my Japanese cuisine feast ;) I make it sound very cool, hor? Ok lah nevermind. Anyway this is a Mini California Maki. Especially posted for Lindy cause she’s been craving for it! I love it! But I personally think the California Maki Special is better. So nice and crunchy! Heh heh. We had about six plates of that!

Jerold and Michelle aren’t really used to eating Japanese food unlike the rest of us, so we introduced them to a whole lot of different dishes. He and Des even tried the sea urchin sushi - two little sushis for ten bucks. Wow! I think they enjoyed the food more than us though! :P

One of my very favorites. It’s needle/string mushroom- Enoki Battayaki. It’s delishhhhhhz. I forgot who introduced it to me though, but it’s been since last year. Something funny happens when you run to the loo after eating this! :P (hint- it’s like corn)

The other side of the table

Finally I took a picture of this! I went to Excapade on Wednesday and the beef and garlic slices were so thick and juicy. And so it was as well last night! I really love this, it’s called Beef Tataki. I’m definitely not a garlic fan but this you’ve got to try it. You could see Jerold and Kevin’s face light up after taking their first bite.

In a matter of minutes, it was all gone. But it was worth it!

After that we made our way to the Mall where we wanted to treat Ange to some gelato. It’s a new place that opened and they have pretty good stuff, but she ended up treating us instead! Aww thanks again girl. They give you lots of free samples, and they were quite a lot of flavors to choose from, so that was pretty tough. Diana and Victoria bought the green tea one and the aftertaste is really nice. They have lots of tangy flavors like mango, strawberry and green apple but the minute I tried the peanut butter and it really hit the spot so I got decided to get that.

I’ve been talking about food so much lately! Uuuuwa! Yay going to play Scrabble later with Steph and Ben I think. But before that, an early steamboat dinner! ;)

Oh right, I forgot. I have been playing Diner Dash a lot lately. I’m currently stuck at Level 8 :S I can’t seem to earn enough money even though I don’t lose any customers/tables. How do I know who am I supposed to serve the drinks to? ngeh… It’s really fun though, I feel like a kid again :P

Kids screaming JESUS! :)

I have about 80+ pictures but there are all uploaded to my Facebook account, kinda lazy to reupload them all again here and sometimes Blogger is just really unrealible because some of my pictures from previous posts have disappeared so.. they’re all there lah so you can just check that out :)

I had fun the last 2 days helping out and seeing all the kids worshipping was the best part I think! Well for me, at least. The decos were really nice and vibrant and there were colours everywhere hard to escape from them hahahaha. Nice bonding session with Derek, Josh, Kenny and Kevin too playing like I don’t know how many times haha! But I missed hanging out with so many people already so it was a good weekend.. and also @ VON’S place after the first night, tired man hahahaha I had fun seeing how her maid coaxes her to stop playing the piano when it’s already 10 HAHA! Dude you know what I’m talking about ;)

I never thought I’d really like kids because I can’t really handle them well; I’m always so mehhh kids? I don’t think so.. but this time round, it was just different. I don’t know how you could put in words what I saw when I was there. The dancing, jumping, screaming out so loud that your ears and eyes just wanna pop out, it was a fantaz weekend!

how now, brown cow?

September 7, 2007 at 5:03 am (Uncategorized)

I ♥ Pearls Before Swine. I get a daily dosage everyday, sent to my gmail inbox.

Hello Jello and a very good morning (well it’s afternoon now)! I woke up at 8:45 today, and that is very early, considering that I have just begun my lovely -and counting- ten days of holiday. Not very much, but better than nothing, definitely.

Lemme do the honor of introducing to ya’ll, my BestFriend#1:

Meet Mr. Char Koay Teow!
We met earlier this year when my brother introduced us. We visit him everytime we have cravings, and this time, Lindy had been dying for it for like two weeks? So finally, destiny fulfilled :P I always have mine with a hou mou dan (bull’s eye egg) and tau geh - how to say that in English already ah? Man I forgot hahaha. Aunty Jo was with us too and it was really nice of her to give us a treat.

With sambal and it’s so good :D even though I’m not a big fan of spicy stuff.

Unfinished Mr CKT :( was too early ’cause I’m not used to breakfast, even though it was like 10. feat. the little bear and Rach flippin’ her hair.

teh si peng!

I don’t know where this place is called though, I just call it the “Koay Teow Place” :) it has a funny name to it. It’s near Jin Chew at Gadong, and is opposite the river. I think we’ll just call it Babu Kitchen for now. Babu Babu!

BestFriend#2:

The one on the right! :D

Been with me for 2 weeks, the other S500i is my mom’s. Used it for a while, and I thought it was really cool because of the changing themes with time (@ 7am it turns like to day and @ 9pm to night) but the keypads on the phone have massive cracks in between, not cool. And I’m not big of a fan of the non-fingerprint-proof material on the phone so I had this habit of always wiping it with my shirt or cloth :S The W580i is just like any other Sony Ericsson walkman phone, except for the Fitness application which counts how many steps you take in a day (quite inaccurate if you just walk, it’s meant for jogging I think?) and the shake control. Hold to walkman button and shake the phone and it changes song bla bla..

Only drawbacks I’ve come across with both phones together is that the light effect is cool, but it eats up your battery like crazy. I have to charge my phone like once every two days or sometimes everyday - usually with my other SE phones it’s like once in three days or when needed lah, but it’s a phone so sheesh can send messages/call/play music can already :P

Meet Boblet.

Not very creative, I know (piglet) but look at him, he’s got such an attitude man. Hahaha!

Who else?

On a jet plane, you’ve finally gone. It’s been so many years of knowing you - since what, when I was 7? 8? I remember that photo in your house with Edmund (where is that guy?) with Mahathir. We never could click back then and it was only until recently in the last few years that we got to know each other and we’ve said way too many sorrys during that time too. You’re not leaving, you’ve left, but I didn’t regret seeing you off even though the tears were hard to fight back. Anyway, you have been such a friend. Thank you, and you’ll always mean a lot to me, regardless.

:)
—————–

On a lighter and non-teary note, my grandmother who was supposed to go to Singapore for an eye treatment/operation this Friday is alright - which means I won’t have to go (which is a good of course, because that means she’s okay) and thank God that everything’s under control. She’s been very worried because of her age, etc etc, but my dad claims it’s all psychological :P Well it’s great now that she doesn’t have to go, but sorry Yvonne I can’t get your books haha. Instead, I get to see your recital on Friday! Yours too Lindy ;) and mum said that instead of Singapore this trip, she’ll let me go in December - which was the original plan :D

Oh and a happy birthday to Dave!

Yay last paper tomorrow!

and things would be more magical.

September 3, 2007 at 4:12 am (Uncategorized)

another one of those people leaving soon.

Most people ponder about where they’d go for their overseas education; whether it be Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom and what course they would sit their butts on for the x number of years. I, on the other hand, think about whether I should be staying here or not.. Of course, it also depends on my grades, which is my first priority! Well, it should be..

The thought scares me sometimes, the future and all that follows through with it. Whatever’s left of 2007 this year and next year will be my induction training programme propelling me into my life in university, or to what comes after my life here in A Levels. Not all open doors are good ones, and you need sharp wisdom for that!

Okay, time to stop being such an emo being or else I’ll turn into a creepy looking emu. Wait, maybe I was talking about an ostrich - they’re really freaky. They’ve got huge eyes and… alright fine *coughs*.

look at the pretty lights!
Michelle & myself :D she thinks that all I do is just cari pasal with her :@

the oh famous pamper corner! getting your tattoos and henna done here!

love the polka dots!

yeah, sexy indeed.

oh we should never forget the lips! and it has a tongue, how freaky is that.

she really wanted a picture :P

i’m going to piss you off and post this picture, anyway :D

totally unrelated: My mom just tried saying Pride and Prejudice (it’s on HBO now and it’s a really good flick) but instead what came out of her mouth was Pineapple Juice ._. She also pronounces lingerie as laundry. Love my mom!

Man.. All the pics disappeared all of the sudden, so had to reupload them.. since I came back, I’ll just upload the ones I just took just now, and some that I took at home while being bored.

I think I’ve found an area of interest :D

plum?

September 2, 2007 at 5:42 am (Uncategorized)

This picture ^ here is uploaded to prove a point :@

I got my hair done two days ago, after my Business paper.. and you know, for something new because my hair was turning just really dry and brown/blonde and it look like hay, I decided to try with this color- it was plum which looked like ribena and I was really happy, even though I was probably the only one who could actually see the colors. Well I supposed it would’ve been better than looking like horse food.

After taking a bath just now, I saw pink-colored water leaving into the drain in the bath tub. T_T

I, very sim tia. LOL this is not justice! :P Now it just looks like my brown has gone a tad… Idon’tknow. Different type of brown, looks a little reddish- fwehfwehfweh oh well save up for a brighter and longer-lasting shade of purple next time then!

Happy September people! About 3 to 4 months and 2007 will be coming to a close. Waaa..

Hmm, why am I so afraid of the thought of going overseas to study? :|
